That is why my approach is never about stiff posing or forcing moments. Instead, I offer gentle guidance and quiet encouragement, creating room for your personalities to come through naturally. Your photos should reflect your connection as it is, not a version of it created for the camera.

I take the time to understand who you are and what matters to you, fostering an environment where you can relax without self-consciousness or pressure. When you feel at ease, the moments become honest, and the photographs become meaningful.

My commitment is to create an experience that feels calm, supportive, and effortless, so even before the camera is lifted, you already feel comfortable being exactly who you are.

How did I get here, you ask?

Before I became a wedding photographer I had an Environmental Chemist degree (I know right, it’s crazy?!) As a creative at heart, I felt I would lose a part of myself if I continued to be in a lab all day. I couldn’t imagine myself being boxed in with glassware and dangerous chemicals. I knew I had a different purpose.

It wasn’t till a friend in undergrad asked me to photograph her and her partner who was visiting from out of town. She saw photos I was uploading to my photo blog (for family and friends back home to see what I was up to). At the time I wasn’t taking photos of couples, but she thought to reach out. I didn’t know it then, but that interaction was the catalyst to my photography journey (chemistry pun intended).

The instant connection I felt documenting their love was a feeling I never had before. Knowing I was part of capturing the early chapter of their relationship is forever encapsulated through the photos I took - it was then that I found a deeper meaning to photography.

I knew I wanted to tell couples’ stories, document moments, and most importantly photograph couples for who they are with the people they love. Their love is worth telling for years to come!

My Approach

On a wedding day, my role is both observer and guide.

I step in when needed with calm, thoughtful direction so you feel confident and at ease. When moments happen naturally, I give them space to unfold. This balance allows your day to move naturally while still creating imagery that feels composed and intentional.

You do not need to know how to pose.
You do not need to perform for the camera.

My job is to create an environment where you can be fully present, trusting that everything meaningful is being documented with care.

Process

What is it like working with me?

Meeting

Before we spend one of the most important days of your lives together, it’s best to make sure we’re a good fit. We’ll get to know one another, and talk about your wedding vision, your love story, and what’s important to you.

Planning

Once you’re booked, I’ll be in contact with your wedding planner (whether that’s you, or a professional) to gather all the details I’ll need to do my best work. I’ll share my vendor list, tips, and tricks to ensure your day goes seamlessly and stress-free. You’re not alone in this, I’ve photographed many weddings so if you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

The Big Day

And lastly, of course, the wedding itself! I’ll be there all day with you, capturing everything from your getting ready in the morning, til the last song of your reception (you might even find me grooving to some songs!) I’m there to document your best day ever, so don’t even worry about me!
